PRP, PRF & Biostimulating Treatments in Lansing, MI

Regenerative aesthetics that work with your biology — not against it.

The Shift Toward Natural Rejuvenation

More patients are asking the same questions: Can I stimulate my own collagen? Is there something more natural than filler? That curiosity isn’t a trend — it’s a shift. At Aqua Aesthetics & Wellness, we’ve built a full regenerative treatment menu around exactly that idea.
PRP, PRF, and biostimulating treatments work with your body’s own healing intelligence to restore volume, improve texture, strengthen hair, and rebuild what time has gradually taken away — without synthetic materials, without an overdone appearance, and without significant downtime.

What Is PRP?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) starts with a small sample of your own blood. That sample is processed in a centrifuge to isolate and concentrate the platelets — the components of your blood richest in growth factors. When reintroduced to the skin or scalp, those growth factors stimulate:

  • Collagen and elastin production
  • Tissue repair and regeneration
  • Improved skin tone and texture
  • New blood vessel formation for better circulation
PRP is commonly used for under-eye rejuvenation, skin texture improvement, acne scarring, fine lines, and hair restoration. Because it comes entirely from your own biology, the risk of reaction is minimal and results look like a better, more rested version of you.

What Is PRF?

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is the next generation of PRP. It contains not just platelets but also white blood cells and a fibrin matrix — a natural scaffolding that holds growth factors in place and releases them more slowly over time.

That sustained release means longer-lasting collagen stimulation and more gradual, progressive improvement. PRF is particularly well suited for under-eye hollowing, fine lines, skin rejuvenation, and natural facial volume support where a subtle, building effect is the goal.

What Are Biostimulating Treatments?

Biostimulators are injectable treatments designed to stimulate your body’s own collagen production over time. Rather than filling an area directly, they work beneath the surface to gradually restore structure, improve skin thickness, and enhance firmness and elasticity.

Results develop naturally over weeks to months — creating refined, authentic improvement that looks like your skin simply decided to get better on its own.

Why We Use Cellenis® PRP

Not all PRP is created equal. At Aqua Aesthetics & Wellness, we use Cellenis® — the gold standard in PRP technology, clinically documented and used in over one million procedures worldwide.

Cellenis® uses a patented separation gel that removes 99.9% of red blood cells and pro-inflammatory components — the elements that cause irritation and dilute results. What remains is a highly concentrated, biologically active plasma ready to do serious work.

  • 99.9% red blood cell removal for the cleanest, most potent PRP available
  • Patented gel technology gives providers precise control over platelet concentration and volume
  • Two kit options (11ml and 22ml) for fully customizable treatment plans
  • Backed by decades of regenerative medicine research
  • Used in over one million procedures across aesthetic and medical fields

The Cellenis® Treatment Menu

Cellenis® PRP — The Foundation

The core treatment uses your concentrated growth factors to stimulate collagen, improve circulation, and restore a healthier, more youthful appearance to skin and hair. It can be applied topically, by injection, or layered onto virtually any aesthetic service to enhance and accelerate results.

Best for: Skin rejuvenation, texture improvement, acne scarring, hair restoration, and treatment enhancement

Cellenis® Derma PRP — The Natural Volumizer

After processing, the plasma is further refined — its proteins restructured into a dense, mesh-like scaffolding that behaves like a natural filler. When injected, it immediately adds soft volume while continuously releasing growth factors for up to 4–6 months. No synthetic material. No foreign substance. Just a smarter, more sustained version of your own biology.

Best for: Facial volumizing, under-eye hollowing, cheeks, lips, neck, hands — anywhere you want natural-looking fullness without traditional filler

Cellenis® PRP Hair Restoration

Promotes new blood vessel formation and increases blood supply directly to hair follicles — creating the environment they need to reactivate and strengthen. The result is denser, more resilient hair growth over time.

Best for: Thinning hair, early hair loss, and scalp health in both men and women

PRP / PRF vs. Dermal Fillers

Both have their place. Here’s how they differ:
Dermal Fillers PRP / PRF / Biostimulators
Mechanism Add volume directly Stimulate your body’s own collagen
Timeline Immediate results Gradual improvement over weeks to months
Best for Deeper folds, contouring, lip volume Texture, regeneration, under-eyes, overall skin quality
Longevity 9–18 months 6–12 months; builds over time
Many patients benefit most from a thoughtful combination of both. Your provider will help you determine the right approach at your consultation.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

This approach may be ideal for patients who:

  • Prefer natural-looking results without synthetic materials
  • Want to restore volume without looking “done”
  • Are dealing with hair thinning or early hair loss
  • Want to enhance and extend the results of other treatments
  • Prefer minimal downtime with progressive, lasting improvement
  • Are early in the aging process and want to get ahead of it
  • Are 35+ and looking for regenerative support alongside their current routine

Combining PRP With Other Treatments

PRP pairs powerfully with almost every other service we offer:

  • PRP + Microneedling — Microchannels dramatically increase PRP absorption, supercharging collagen stimulation for scar revision and texture refinement
  • PRP + Laser or BBL — PRP accelerates healing and enhances skin renewal post-treatment
  • PRP + Toxin or Fillers — Layers biological regeneration on top of volumizing results for a more comprehensive refresh
  • PRP + Hair Restoration Protocol — Combined with targeted scalp therapy for maximum density improvement

What's the difference between PRP and PRF?
PRF contains platelets, white blood cells, and a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors more slowly than standard PRP — offering longer, more sustained collagen stimulation. Your provider will recommend the right option based on your goals.
Cellenis® removes 99.9% of red blood cells and pro-inflammatory components, resulting in a cleaner, more concentrated plasma than most standard systems produce. Purer PRP means better, more consistent results.
Yes. Because PRP is derived from your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction is extremely low. The most common side effects are mild and temporary: local redness, minor swelling, or light bruising at the injection site.
Most patients see optimal results after 3–4 sessions spaced approximately one month apart. Hair restoration follows a similar protocol. Cellenis® Derma PRP may deliver meaningful results in as few as 2 sessions.
Results typically last 6–12 months, with maintenance sessions recommended to sustain improvement.
They serve different purposes. Fillers provide immediate, precise volumizing. PRP and PRF improve skin quality and stimulate natural collagen for gradual, regenerative results. Many patients benefit most from a thoughtful combination of both.
Absolutely — and it’s often recommended. PRP enhances and extends the results of nearly every aesthetic service. Your provider will help you build a plan that layers treatments strategically.
